Default R/Rit Solo Smite Run

Hey y'all! This is my first farming build, so pardon the mistakes.

This is my build:

Vengeful Was Khanhei
Blind Was Mingson
Vengeful Weapon
Whirling Defense
Dryder's Defenses
Natural Stride
Serpent's Quickness
Troll Unguent

Here is the walkthrough:

Enter UW. Take Quest, cast Blind Was Mingson, aggro Graspings, run back so you lose the Aatxes, drop Blind was Mingson, wait 5 secs, cast Serpents and VwK, right as VwK is about to run out, cast Throw Dirt, if they interrupt throw dirt, throw up Whirling, and wait for energy regen, or pop on Trolls, cast Blind Was Mingson, and when Whirling is about to run out, drop it, VwK, and repeat.

Running to Smites

Keep Natural Stride up, and rest in the middle of the run, Natural as a quick recharge time, 12 secs, and with 14 ws, it last 8 secs. Once you get to the smites, its extremely easy, easier than W/Rit. Serpent's, VwK, and Troll if you need it. AVOID COLDS AT ALL COSTS! I am testing how to kill them currently.

Equipment:
Heralds Insignias, Sup WS with WS Head Piece
Minor Expertise
Major/Sup Vigor

The Mindclouder (Very important because when you are holding the Ashes, and Grasping are casting Fear Me, when you drop the ashes, you get an instant 20 energy = )

Hope you like my guide, screenshots coming soon!

Attributes:

15 ws
7 expertise
12 restoration

The Method: At 7 expertise, blind is 9 secs, and for Blind was Mingson, 7 secs, all you have to do it wait until the blind is almost up, then hit Serpent's and VwK.

Problems so far: Smites are doing a lot of damage, and some times you may need to make a hasty retreat with Natural Stride, heal up, then get back in their, I haven't tried Herald's Insignias on the smites, but I threw in Dryders for their annoying Zealot's Fire. Post any comment you have or anything.

Oh yeah, an average run took me 30 mins, way faster than trapping your way through the whole thing.

Pics:

Graspings down.

Getting to da smites.

Smites down.

More dead smites.

More to come.

Good luck in there!

-Changed Radiant to Herald for extra armor
-Changed Whirling for Dryder's for extra armor
-Changed Throw Dirt to Whirling Defense because Smites use Mend Condition

I thought VwK only works when getting hit, how is it possible when they are blind?
Where are the stats?

You blind them to avoid getting interrupted while you cast VwK.

I don't get the Smites down. Grasps are no problem at all and the run is easy as hell but I don't get the smites down, they do way to much damage on me, even with Trolls. What am I doing wrong?

Yet to complete a run using this build. There are more effective solo ranger builds out their for solo UW, going back to my old one.

You got max armor? Did you blind them when VwK wasn't up?

Yes, I have druids 15k. Blinding them is useless, Mend Condition > Blind.

Mickey, any advice? I was looking for a nice Smite Run Build for my beloved ranger.

Herald's Insignia is a must. I admit that Smites deal to much damage to you even when VwK is up, that is why you have a nifty quick run skill that you can use, heal up, and get back in there and kill em. Its slower on the smites that W/Rit, but fast on the Graspings. If you having trouble with em, and you need to heal up in combat, try Dryder's then Throw Dirt, and Troll, blinds em, and renders their zealots useless. Whenever I'm in trouble, I run away with Natural. It takes some practice, but eventually you get used to it. Posting pics tonight.

When you post your screens please use the /age command at the end of the run. So we got a time estimation as well.

Ok, sure thing. I perfected the order for smites. Run in with Troll on, then use serpents, VwK, then spam Vengeful, then another VwK, then dryders, then VwK, then Natural, then VwK, and they should be mostly dead. If there are some left, just spam Vengeful. Keep troll up all the time.

The key here is that Herald's Insigna, it helps a ton! I was killing smites with ease then I accidently aggroed colds = )

This build still seems a bit iffy to me. I'm going to have to stick to the other solo ranger builds out their. Still interested in the amount of time a run takes, seeing has to how I have yet to complete an entire run. My Guess is 35+min. based on what I've done.

Feel free to PM me in game mickey so we can swap info.

if you had quickening zephyr instead of serpents quickness you could have permanent VwK for about 30-40 seconds
